2018 Signature Series Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 96/100 Points
Very much resembling the 96+ Point 16' Beau Vigne Reserve Cabernet. Yet 2018 is a presentation of sophisticated elegance. Sourced from the rich volcanic soils of Atlas Peak, enabling clone 337 sourced from the Pauillac region of France to create minerality and tannins that embrace the nuances of this Cabernet. The deep purple-black colored 18' Reserve opens with crushed red and black cherries, warm blackberries, and blackcurrant pastilles with touches of sandalwood, cigar boxes, charcuterie, and dried bay leaves. The palate is full, firm, and grainy with a lively backbone giving rock-solid support to the densely packed fruit, finishing very long. The elegance of this well-layered presentation creates a full 60-second finish. Cellared correctly this Cabernet should drink well until 2033.
